Job summary

Marqeta is seeking a Senior Product Manager for its Credit team to own the end-to-end evolution of the credit platform. You will shape core services and define market-ready features, working with engineering, GTM, design, legal, and compliance to translate regulatory realities into actionable product decisions.

You will drive the roadmap, author detailed requirements for robust backend systems and APIs, and collaborate across teams to launch and scale new credit products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience focused on credit cards or lending.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with backend systems and APIs.
• Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, and production environments.
• Exceptional communication skills to translate complex regulatory topics for engineers and executives.
• Experience navigating legal and risk reviews as part of product delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own the multi-quarter strategy for the credit platform core services.
• Define detailed product requirements and technical documentation for backend systems and APIs.
• Lead cross-functional execution with engineering, GTM, operations, legal, compliance, and risk.
• Collaborate with engineering on architectural decisions affecting account management and data integrity.
• Champion API excellence to enable seamless external integration.
• Own and defend the credit roadmap in line with client needs and company goals.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to surface needs and validate solutions.
• Use analytics to identify platform gaps and guide prioritization.
