Marqeta, Inc. is seeking a Principal Product Manager for the Credit team who will own the end-to-end strategy for the credit platform.

You will define multi-quarter roadmaps, work with networks and banks, and drive cross-functional execution across engineering, GTM, operations, and legal. You will lead requirements, data models, and APIs for credit account management and transaction processing, while championing customer needs and data-driven prioritization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product management experience in fintech or payments.
• Proven track record shipping technically complex credit products at scale.
• Domain thought leader with ability to identify market opportunities in credit and translate into strategy.
• Strong executive presence influencing senior leadership and external partners.
• Deep technical acumen with APIs, data models, system architecture and emerging tech.

Responsibilities

• Shape the multi-quarter credit platform roadmap and strategy.
• Define requirements and technical documentation for backend systems, APIs, and data models.
• Drive cross-functional execution across engineering, GTM, operations, legal, compliance, and risk.
• Collaborate with engineering leaders on architecture decisions affecting account management and data integrity.
• Champion the customer by engaging with external and internal stakeholders to surface needs and validate solutions.
• Make data-informed decisions using analytics to identify gaps and measure feature impact.
• Represent credit externally to enterprise clients, issuing banks, and networks.
• Lead across teams without direct reports to align on outcomes.
