Job summary

Jabil seeks a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to design, fabricate, and integrate electrical systems for data center power and cooling products. The role spans full-stack electrical design from generator systems to AI rack integration zones, focusing on PDUs, UPS, MV/HV distribution, and controls.

The engineer will lead design and testing, coordinate with vendors, and ensure manufacturing readiness with UL compliance and safety standards. This remote-friendly role requires up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in electrical design and fabrication, focusing on data center or industrial power systems.
• Proficiency in ECAD tools and integration with mechanical CAD.
• Strong understanding of MV/HV power distribution and lithium-ion UPS systems.
• Experience with electrical analysis tools (ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower).
• Leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and integrate electrical systems for data centers.
• Lead electrical design reviews and ensure compliance.
• Prepare BOMs, data sheets, and test plans.
• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturing for handoff.
• Collaborate with system architects and project managers.
