Klaviyo is seeking a senior technical leader to own scale, performance, reliability, and multi‑region readiness of our SaaS platform. You will report to the VP of Engineering as a high‑impact individual contributor, collaborating across teams to deliver meaningful improvements for our largest tenants.

You’ll drive architectural changes, establish targets, remove bottlenecks, and build repeatable patterns for scalable delivery.

Qualificações

• 12+ years of engineering experience.
• Hands-on performance engineering and capacity planning.
• Expertise with sharding, partitioning, caching, back‑pressure.
• Experience with multi-region architectures and large migrations.
• Ability to diagnose unfamiliar systems and deliver safe changes.
• Clear, data‑driven communication to executives and engineers.

Responsabilidades

• Define scale readiness with measurable targets (latency, throughput, error rates, capacity).
• Remove the bottlenecks that matter using production data and benchmarks.
• Drive architectural changes including sharding, caching, and workload isolation.
• Make scale engineering repeatable with benchmarks and reusable patterns.
• Build readiness into delivery with scalable release gates.
• Turn incidents into lasting improvements through deep dives and fixes.
• Apply AI to profiling, workload modeling, and anomaly detection for better outcomes.
• Connect engineering decisions to customer needs and business impact.
