Job summary

American Specialty Health Incorporated is seeking a Sr Platform Engineer I to join our Platform Engineering and DevOps organization. This role focuses on secure, scalable cloud adoption and software delivery in a remote work environment.

You will contribute to IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and platform automation to accelerate business outcomes. The position emphasizes platform reliability, security controls, identity management, and developer experience to enable efficient, repeatable deployments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3 years experience in cloud platform engineering, software engineering, systems engineering or DevOps roles; hands‑on with scalable, distributed systems across IaaS, PaaS, AI, and container-based environments.
• Experience designing and implementing infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and automated platform provisioning, with proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language.
• Experience working within and contributing to DevOps/DevSecOps practices, including collaboration across development, security, and operations teams.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems, improve platform reliability, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver platform engineering across cloud compute, storage, networking, and runtime layers leveraging Azure IaaS/PaaS.
• Deploy and operate containerized platform-native runtime services.
• Implement infrastructure provisioning using IaC.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance reusable platform components and automation frameworks.
• Implement security controls, IAM and secrets management patterns; enable governance through automated guardrails.
• Monitor platform performance and contribute to cost optimization efforts.
• Enable CI/CD platform capabilities and self-service templates; support developer tooling.
• Troubleshoot platform and infrastructure issues; perform root cause analysis; share knowledge.
• Support messaging, eventing, and API capabilities for integration.
