Job summary

HealthEdge is seeking an experienced Sr Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate the cloud infrastructure powering its digital health platforms. This role sits within Cloud Platform Engineering and requires independent operation across a large, multi-account environment.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on cloud engineering expertise with a security-first mindset, and can collaborate across teams on AWS, Azure, IaC, CI/CD, and observability to support HealthEdge's platform roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering with AWS expertise.
• Strong IaC experience (Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• IAM design including cross-account access and least-privilege enforcement.
• Experience with containerized, cloud-native environments and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Configuration management using Salt/Ansible/Chef/Puppet.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Security-first mindset; integrate security tooling into development and deployment cycles.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AWS/Azure infrastructure across a multi-account, multi-region environment.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code with reusable, auditable modules.
• Design and implement cross-account IAM patterns, including assume-role trust policies and least-privilege enforcement.
• Contribute to capability, scalability, and cost-efficiency planning for infrastructure needs.
• Build, maintain, and evolve CI/CD pipelines for automated IaC deployments.
• Develop automation to reduce manual toil and enforce operational standards.
• Operationalize PoC solutions to production with emphasis on repeatability.
• Monitor, scale, and maintain production resources prioritizing reliability and security.
• Participate in on-call rotation; perform root cause analysis and incident retrospectives.
• Establish observability practices and tooling for metrics, dashboards, and alerts.
