Job summary

American Specialty Health Incorporated (ASH) seeks a Sr Platform Engineer I to join our Platform Engineering and DevOps organization. You will implement and evolve capabilities enabling secure, scalable public cloud adoption and software delivery, with emphasis on automation, reliability, and self-service for developers.

You will contribute to IAM, observability, and platform security while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience required.
• 3 years experience in cloud platform engineering, software engineering, systems engineering or DevOps roles with hands‑on experience in scalable distributed systems.
• Experience designing infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and automated platform provisioning.
• Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps practices and collaboration across development, security, and operations teams.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and improve platform reliability.

Responsibilities

• Implement and contribute to the design of platform environments across cloud compute, storage, networking, and runtime layers on Azure.
• Deploy and operate containerized platform-native runtime services.
• Implement infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Develop and enhance reusable platform components and automation frameworks.
• Implement security controls and policy enforcement defined by platform standards.
• Implement identity, access, and secrets management patterns.
• Enable compliance and governance through automated guardrails.
• Monitor platform performance and contribute to cost optimization.
• Support, build, and enhance developer tooling and CI/CD platform capabilities.
• Troubleshoot platform and infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis.
