Hummingbird Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Sr. Principal Platform Engineer to lead hands-on work on our production platforms and guide an growing engineering team.

You\'ll design architecture, review code, and mentor junior engineers, while partnering with IT Security and Data & Analytics to keep systems reliable and scalable. This role requires deep experience in a full-stack stack (TypeScript, Python, React, Vite) and a disciplined approach to design, data access, and security.

Qualificações

• 8 to 10+ years of software engineering experience, shipping production systems.
• Strong full-stack capability in front-end and back-end code.
• Hands-on with TypeScript, Python, React, and Vite.
• Strong system design and architectural judgment.
• Experience mentoring early-career engineers.
• Process-oriented with emphasis on code/design standards.
• Comfort using AI tools without relying on them for core judgment.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain the core of our production platforms with hands-on code work.
• Own architecture decisions for production applications and system connections.
• Review PRs and designs to ensure quality and consistency.
• Mentor early-career engineers and explain design rationales.
• Develop across the full stack as needed.
• Collaborate with IT Security and Data/Analytics on data access and design.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and resolve root causes.
• Use AI-assisted tools to speed delivery while preserving oversight.
• Document decisions and tradeoffs for long-term maintainability.
