Job summary

Ignite Reading seeks a Senior Platform Engineering Manager, Infrastructure & Data Engineering to lead two teams responsible for cloud infra, deployment pipelines, and the data platform serving a 33-person engineering organization and data science team.

You will guide architectural decisions, review designs, and own the annual SOC2 audit and penetration testing. A strong background in either DevOps or data engineering with deep leadership is required, plus remote work adaptability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software, infrastructure, or data engineering with people management experience.
• Experience running a multi-disciplinary team serving internal customers.
• Familiarity with SOC2 and security/compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead two teams: DevOps and Data Engineering (six engineers total).
• Set a unified platform roadmap with senior leadership.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and data platform.
• Mentor engineers and develop technical leads within each team.
• Own SOC2 audit coordination and remediation tracking.
