Ignite Reading seeks a Senior Platform Engineering Manager, Infrastructure & Data Engineering to lead two teams responsible for cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and the data platform for a 33-person engineering organization and analytics team.

You will be a player-coach, guiding architectural decisions, ensuring security compliance, and partnering with leaders to balance investment with delivery needs while thriving in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software, infrastructure, or data engineering.
• Directly managing engineers for 2+ years.
• Hands-on expertise in AWS, IaC, CI/CD, containerization, observability OR orchestration, warehousing, pipelines-as-code, data quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead two teams: DevOps and Data Engineering.
• Provide technical guidance and career development for engineers.
• Set a unified platform roadmap with leadership.
• Ensure secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and efficient pipelines.
• Oversee SOC2 audit cycle and penetration testing.
• Collaborate to embed DevOps and data practices in SDLC.
• Review designs and guide architectural decisions across teams.
