Job summary

Grange Insurance Company in Columbus, OH is hiring a Claims PL Casualty Complex Representative for a remote role. You will investigate, evaluate, and negotiate settlements on complex PL Casualty liability claims to promote retention and insurance coverage.

You’ll work under company lines, maintain relationships with agents and customers, and report large losses to CAB. A college degree and several years of casualty claims experience are preferred, with state adjuster licensure possibly required.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred plus five (5) years claims experience with at least three (3) years involvement in casualty claims handling preferred.
• Must possess strong communication and organization skills.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with customers and agents in a professional manner.
• State specific adjusters’ license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Investigates, evaluates and adjusts assigned complex liability claims within limit of authority.
• Summarizes cases in excess of authority and submits to managers/specialists for approval.
• Establishes and maintains positive relationships with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service.
• Regular communication with our agents including face-to-face visits when required to assist in building effective working relationships.
• Assists other departments with investigations as required.
• Reports large losses and presents claims to CAB Committee; ensures appropriate reinsurance reporting on claims.
