Job summary

Great American Insurance Group, in its Specialty Human Services division, is seeking a Senior Casualty Claims Specialist. This fully remote role supports travel as needed and involves managing a large claims inventory, investigating coverage, and negotiating settlements.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in property and casualty claims handling, a related bachelor’s degree, and an active adjuster license preferred in several states. Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of property and casualty claims handling experience.
• Active adjuster license preferred in listed states (CT, FL, KY, NC, NM, SC, TX).

Responsibilities

• Manage a large inventory of casualty claims and evaluate liability and damages.
• Conduct claim investigations to confirm coverage and liability.
• Negotiate settlements and reserves within authority; may attend arbitrations or trials.
• Maintain detailed claim files and communicate with insureds and partners.
