Intuit is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Processor to resolve notices, prepare amended returns, and correct payroll errors for SelectTime payroll services. This remote role offers flexible hours (20–40 per week) and overtime eligibility, aligning with a high-volume workload and cross-functional collaboration.

You will independently manage complex notices, coordinate with agency deadlines, and contribute to SOP updates while mentoring colleagues on payroll tax processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on payroll tax experience with focus on notice resolution and amended returns.
• Ability to independently resolve State and Federal payroll tax notices.
• Strong Excel/Sheets skills for reconciliation and data analysis.
• Experience with payroll platforms and Salesforce preferred.

Responsabilités

• Execute full-cycle payroll tax case work for assigned accounts with accuracy and timeliness.
• Research and resolve State and Federal payroll tax notices, including balance-due notices and deposit discrepancies.
• Prepare written agency responses with supporting documentation and meet deadlines.
• Prepare amended payroll tax returns (Form 941-X and state equivalents) independently.
• Support payroll correction workflows and maintain thorough case documentation from intake to closure.
• Prioritize cases by SLA, flag aging cases, and manage a personal WIP queue.
• Analyze trends to identify process or system deficiencies and contribute to SOP/KB updates.
• Collaborate with Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams; mentor TP1 staff.
