Mostly remote, candidates should be within 50 miles of Baker Tilly offices in TX, WI, PA or surrounding areas. CPP preferred or in progress; Bachelor's degree preferred. Compensation includes a competitive package and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 years of payroll experience in consulting, payroll provider, or in-house function.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, multistate regulations, and compliance.
• Experience with payroll tax forms and filings (e.g., 941, W-2).
• CPP certification preferred or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Support payroll consulting engagements across a range of clients and geographies.
• Assist in assessing and improving client payroll processes, controls, and procedures.
• Perform multistate payroll compliance reviews across federal, state, and local regulations.
• Support payroll tax activities and preparation/review of forms (941, 941-X, W-2C).
• Assist with payroll setup, earnings, deductions, and tax treatments.
• Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver timely, accurate work and communicate findings clearly.
