Job summary

Motion in Atlanta seeks a Payroll Senior Manager to direct a large, multi-state payroll team and ensure timely, accurate processing. You will oversee routine runs, off-cycle requests, and related tax reporting while upholding SOX controls and privacy standards.

You’ll partner with Finance, Benefits, HR, IT and external providers to optimize processes, reduce errors, and improve service levels. Strong Workday experience required; ADP familiarity a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related business field.
• Eight+ years in Payroll, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Experience managing payroll for large multi-state organizations.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll compliance for multi-state and multi-country payroll department.
• Oversee payroll runs and off-cycle requests with accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead and develop payroll team; ensure internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance, Benefits, HR, IT to meet reporting requirements.
• Manage relationships with payroll providers and outsourcers.
• Drive process improvements to reduce errors and increase efficiency.
• Prepare and review payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audits as payroll contact.
