Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Certified Senior Outpatient Coder for a remote, full-time position. You will review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis and CPT/HCPCS procedure codes to ensure accurate reimbursement for complex outpatient accounts.

Responsibilities include evaluating health record documentation, identifying documentation clarifications, initiating coding queries, and supporting training to maintain coding quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of hospital outpatient coding experience.
• Coursework in ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPCS, and medical terminology.
• AHIMA or AAPC certification (CPC, CCS, RHIA, or RHIT) preferred.
• Passing score on the senior outpatient coding skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates health record documentation to ensure accurate reimbursement through proper coding of outpatient encounters
• Identifies opportunities for documentation clarification and coding queries to support accurate coding and charges
• Maintains coding quality and productivity expectations while assisting in training of outpatient coders
