Job summary

AHEAD is hiring a Principal Observability & Reliability Architect to lead enterprise Dynatrace initiatives within Intelligent Operations. You will guide clients on observability strategy, design multi-cloud telemetry, and mature SRE practices to improve reliability and cost efficiency.

You will mentor teams, develop reusable content, and contribute to pre-sales and solutions while collaborating with executives. This is a remote US position with light travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in observability, APM, SRE or related disciplines.
• 4+ years of hands-on enterprise Dynatrace experience with architecture and governance.
• Applied SRE experience defining SLIs/SLOs and reliability programs.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus and Grafana in public cloud monitoring.
• Knowledge of telemetry governance and enterprise dashboard/alert standards.
• Experience with automation frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, Python).
• Strong executive-facing communication and workshop leadership.
• Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM and DevOps in consulting delivery.
• Willingness to travel 0–15%.

Responsibilities

• Architect Dynatrace at enterprise scale and design telemetry strategy.
• Lead end-to-end observability architectures across monitoring, logging, metrics, tracing.
• Mature SRE practices: SLOs, error budgets, incident reviews, runbooks.
• Lead assessment workshops on use cases, maturity roadmaps, and adoption strategies.
• Define telemetry onboarding standards and governance across data quality and cost.
• Lead modernization and migration from legacy platforms to Dynatrace.
• Provide client-facing technical narratives and pursue technical pursuits.
• Mentor architects and consultants across the practice.
