Job summary

Bayview Asset Management is seeking a senior underwriting professional for a full-time remote role with a base in Denver, CO. The role requires extensive experience reviewing DSCR, jumbo, and bank statement loans and managing a loan-purchase pipeline.

You will coordinate with capital markets and policy teams to ensure credit decisions align with Bayview's origination and purchase policies, working closely with underwriting.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of Mortgage Banking practices, procedures, and laws.
• Minimum 6 years in underwriting or underwriting auditor role.
• Comfortable negotiating complex issues and problem solving.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point.
• Effective verbal and written communications.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers, staff, and external contacts.
• Proficiency in using AI tools to improve efficiency and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide eligibility support to a network of correspondent sellers.
• Approve exceptions as authorized.
• Foster strong relationships with sellers' underwriting and post-closing teams.
• Work with sellers to clear due diligence conditions.
• Ensure loan documents are accurate and sufficient to clear conditions for final loan approval.
• Review and evaluate loan files for risk issues and potential fraud/misrepresentation.
• Analyze appraisals for valuation accuracy.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
