Private Job Board seeks a Senior Underwriter to review and underwrite mortgage files across FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo and conventional loans. You will balance borrower, property, and transaction risks to reach informed decisions within credit authority.

You will mentor team members, ensure consistency in credit quality, and support timely decisions to meet production goals while adhering to audit standards. The role may involve overtime and travel as needed.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years mortgage banking experience with at least 3 years underwriting.
• Active DE, LAPP, SAR and USDA designations preferred.
• Proficiency with LOS including Encompass; DU/LP/GUS experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Prioritize and review loan file packages for accuracy within SLA.
• Validate documentation submitted with mortgage applications.
• Advise origination staff on underwriting questions to achieve closings.
• Assess borrower, property, income, assets and liabilities for credit decisions.
• Utilize AUS (DU, LP, GUS) to support loan decisions.
• Collaborate with processing to meet underwriting conditions.
