Qualifications

• Active NMLS license (or ability to obtain immediately).
• 3–5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven track record of success in mortgage sales and origination.
• Strong understanding of Conventional, VA, FHA, Jumbo loan products and guidelines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Originate residential mortgage loans (Conventional, VA, FHA, Jumbo, and Portfolio products).
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources.
• Interview prospective borrowers to analyze financial and credit data, determine objectives, and advise on product and pricing guidelines.
• Gather required documentation and work closely with processing and underwriting teams to ensure timely loan closings.
• Stay current with evolving mortgage guidelines, industry trends, and compliance regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service, keeping all parties updated throughout the process.

Senior Mortgage Loan Officer-DSCRandBridgeLending

Remote (42 States) Full-Time / Contractor

Myers Capital Hawaii is seeking an experienced Senior Mortgage Loan Officer to help grow our DSCR and Bridge Lending business nationwide. As a privately owned residential and commercial mortgage banking company and direct private lender established in 1998, we specialize in financing for real estate investors, developers, builders, commercial property owners, and mortgage broker referral partners. What sets our platform apart is our combination of significant deal flow, direct access to lending capital, and the ability to balance-sheet many of the bridge loans we originate. Through our affiliated company, Myers Investment Group, we manage a private real estate debt fund and provide our Loan Officers with direct access to capital and decision-makers . This gives our team greater control over deal structure, faster decisions, and increased certainty of execution. We also work extensively with mortgage brokers who bring their clients and transactions to us for financing, creating an additional source of deal flow and repeat relationship-building opportunities for our Loan Officers. For transactions outside our balance-sheet parameters, we maintain an extensive network of institutional and specialty lending partners. The ideal candidate is an experienced, production-oriented Loan Officer who can build and manage relationships, generate opportunities, structure transactions, and manage loans efficiently from initial consultation through closing.

Responsibilities

• Originate and manage DSCR, Bridge, private money, construction, and commercial real estate loans
• Develop and maintain relationships with real estate investors, developers, builders, mortgage brokers, realtors, and other referral partners
• Build and manage a pipeline of direct borrower and mortgage broker opportunities
• Evaluate borrower, property, and transaction characteristics to identify viable financing solutions
• Structure transactions and develop financing solutions for complex real estate scenarios
• Work with mortgage brokers to evaluate opportunities, structure financing, issue terms, and move qualified transactions efficiently through underwriting and closing
• Manage loan opportunities from initial consultation through closing
• Collaborate with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to move transactions efficiently
• Develop repeat business through strong borrower and referral-partner relationships
• Stay informed on real estate lending, market conditions, and financing opportunities

Qualifications

• Proven track record of originating and closing DSCR, bridge, private money, construction, or commercial real estate loans
• Experience developing and maintaining relationships with mortgage brokers and other referral partners strongly preferred
• Existing relationships with real estate investors, developers, builders, mortgage brokers, real estate professionals, or other referral sources are a plus
• Strong understanding of real estate lending, underwriting, leverage, collateral, liquidity, and exit strategies
• Ability to structure and manage complex transactions from initial opportunity through closing
• Strong sales, relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
• Goal-oriented and comfortable operating in a performance-driven remote environment
• Self-motivated and able to manage a pipeline independently
• Applicable NMLS licensing or registration as required
