Job summary
BMO is seeking an experienced mortgage underwriting professional to analyze new credit applications, adjudicate decisions, and support strategic initiatives. You will prepare reports, dashboards, and analytics to guide risk-aware lending.
Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is key to delivering business objectives. Ideal candidates have deep knowledge of FHA/VA guidelines, complex income structures, and credit policies, with strong data-driven decision-making and communication
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business or related field.
- 8+ years mortgage underwriting experience preferred.
- FHA/VA knowledge required.
- Experience with web-based approval systems (DU/LP) required.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes new customer credit applications and adjudicates within defined limits.
- Makes credit decisions or recommendations based on credit policies.
- Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
- Supports execution of strategic initiatives with stakeholders.
- Provides input into operational program planning and change management.
