Qualifications

• Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• In-depth understanding of the mortgage lending process and regulatory requirements.
• Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills.
• Expert knowledge of self-management, teamwork, personal lending, and relationship sales/management.

Responsibilities

• Cultivates, builds, and manages relationships with referral networks to build a pipeline of mortgage business.
• Identifies sales opportunities and refers to BMO colleagues as appropriate.
• Guides customers through mortgage application and processing activities.
• Participates in targeted marketing programs and initiatives.
• Develops solutions and makes recommendations based on business strategy and stakeholder needs.
• Partners with branch teams to hand off customers and finalize mortgage documentation.
• Resolves issues to ensure timely funds and excellent customer service.
• Engages with referral networks to generate referrals and mortgage originations.
