Job summary

Huntington Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor 2 to support residential loan processing from receipt through to Closing.

This role emphasizes accuracy, timely communications with borrowers, and collaboration with loan officers and underwriters to ensure compliant and efficient processing. The ideal candidate will handle a mix of FHA/VA/Conventional loans, manage a healthy pipeline, and navigate federal/state guidelines with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of residential mortgage processing experience.
• College degree preferred.
• Familiarity with FHA, VA, Conventional and Jumbo loan programs.
• Experience with automated underwriting (Fannie/Freddie).
• Ability to work in a remote-friendly environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Processes FHA, VA, Conventional, and Jumbo loans.
• Reviews loan documents for accuracy and compliance with guidelines.
• Communicates status to borrowers and loan officers to meet closing deadlines.
• Manages an average pipeline and prioritizes daily workflow.
• Coordinates with origination, underwriters, and borrowers.
• Uploads documents and maintains organized files in the system.
• Supports loan officers and production assistants throughout the process.
