Job summary

SitusAMC is seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Collateral Specialist to support trade management and collateral services across multiple client trades and projects. You will prepare accurate trade reports, assist with ad hoc requests, and ensure timely delivery ahead of client calls.

The role emphasizes data accuracy, Excel proficiency, and the ability to communicate with internal teams. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in mortgage collateral are preferred and a strong ability to meet deadlines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years’ experience or expert level knowledge in reviewing, assessing, and curing mortgage collateral documents.
• Proficient in Excel with lookups, pivot tables and basic formulas.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate client reports.

Responsibilities

• Creation and timely delivery, as defined by the client schedule/calendar, of accurate trade reporting to clients.
• Complete any ad hoc reporting as needed and requested by Client and Trade/Portfolio Manager.
• Ensure client reports are in good form and are provided to clients a minimum of 24 hours prior to the scheduled call.
• Review trade level reports per the defined client schedule/calendar to ensure projects are progressing timely and tasks are updated properly.
• Communicate directly with Functional/Reconciliation/Chain teams on high priority deals/tasks.
• Evaluate and resolve loan level issues as assigned by other functional areas/Departments.
• Identify any task coding and/or reporting discrepancies/issues noted during ongoing status report reviews and complete appropriate follow up to resolve the issue.
• Validate chain of assignments for completeness, order assignments and/or Allonges as required related to assigned client tasks/portfolio.
• Facilitate rush/one off requests for document creation/recording/cancellation/document retrieval received from client and internal departments and provide updates/feedback to the client.
• Retrieval of images provided by custodian and seller and upload into CAM as well as coordination of pre-settlement timelines upon receipt of images.
• Such other activities as may be assigned by your manager.
