Job summary

Fanfix is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to design and build scalable mobile apps using React Native and Expo. You’ll collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver fast, polished native experiences on iOS and Android, with a focus on performance, code quality, and maintainability.

You’ll mentor engineers, ensure test coverage, and drive architectural decisions. This remote role offers a chance to contribute to a fast-paced startup and impact the fan-creator experience.

Qualifications

• Experience building cross-platform apps with React Native (navigation, animations, performance).
• Proven Expo SDK, EAS Build/Submit/Update, OTA delivery workflows.
• Strong TypeScript skills for maintainable codebases.
• Familiarity with NativeWind and shadcn/ui or similar UI frameworks.
• Deep understanding of app startup time, bundle optimization, memory management, and frame-rate stability.
• Experience integrating GraphQL or REST APIs via React Query or Apollo Client.
• Knowledge of bridging native modules and monorepo tooling.
• Proficient with Jest, React Native Testing Library; experience with Detox/Maestro.

Responsibilities

• Design and build native app features delivering high performance and UX quality.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to create pixel-perfect experiences.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests for code quality and stability.
• Continuously optimize app performance, startup time, and responsiveness.
• Own key mobile features from ideation to release, with clear ownership.
• Contribute to architecture discussions shaping Fanfix mobile tooling.
• Mentor junior engineers to grow native expertise.
