Job summary

VERSANT Media is seeking a Senior React Native Software Engineer to design, build, and evolve mobile experiences for iOS and Android. You will own features from design through release, and collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and backend engineers to deliver scalable solutions.

This fully remote role requires strong hands-on expertise and a track record delivering production React Native apps, with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainable code across the stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years building production React Native apps.
• Strong proficiency with React Native, React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript for iOS and Android.
• Deep understanding of mobile architecture, navigation, state management, and data persistence.
• Experience integrating REST or GraphQL APIs, authentication, and third‑party services.
• Experience with automated testing, mobile build/signing, and app store release processes.
• Strong ownership and collaboration in distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable React Native applications for iOS and Android.
• Develop reusable, accessible, and high‑performing components using React Native and TypeScript.
• Guide architectural decisions across navigation, state management, data access, and native integrations.
• Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs, authentication services, analytics platforms, and third‑party SDKs.
• Own features from technical design through testing, release, monitoring, and production support.
• Partner with Product, Design, QA, and backend engineers to deliver effective technical solutions.
• Improve application performance, reliability, automated testing, CI/CD, tooling, and release processes.
• Contribute through code reviews, technical discussions, knowledge sharing, and responsible technical‑debt reduction.
