Job summary

Fanfix is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to design, build, and maintain high-performance cross‑platform apps for iOS and Android using React Native, Expo, and TypeScript. You’ll collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to ship responsive, visually polished features and contribute to a scalable mobile architecture.

You’ll own key modules, mentor engineers, write tests, optimize startup performance, and help evolve design systems with NativeWind and modern UI tooling.

Qualifications

• Extensive React Native experience for cross‑platform apps, including navigation and performance optimization.
• Proven Expo SDK and OTA delivery workflows with EAS Build/Submit/Update.
• Strong TypeScript skills for maintainable codebases.
• Familiarity with NativeWind and modern React Native UI frameworks.
• Deep understanding of startup app performance, startup time, and memory management.
• Experience integrating GraphQL or REST APIs (React Query or Apollo Client).
• Knowledge of bridging native modules and third‑party SDKs.
• Proficient in testing with Jest and RN Testing Library; experience with Detox or Maestro is a plus.
• Attention to UI detail, state management, and platform differences.
• Self‑driven with ownership from conception to release.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain native app features with high performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver polished mobile experiences.
• Write robust unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Continuously optimize app performance and startup time.
• Own key mobile features or modules from ideation to release.
• Contribute to mobile architecture and tooling decisions.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers to strengthen native expertise.
• Compensation: Base salary ($160K - $230K) + Annual Bonus
