Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a REMOTE WORK position open to US-based candidates.

You will lead capital projects in heavy industrial sectors, coordinating multidisciplinary teams from planning to commissioning, with emphasis on technical leadership and client coordination. The role requires a PE license, a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and 15+ years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of ASME/API/NFPA/PIP standards and proficiency in AutoCAD and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 15+ years of mechanical engineering experience in heavy industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, pressure vessels and heat transfer equipment.
• Experience with ASME, API, NFPA and PIP standards.
• Experience developing technical specifications and procurement packages.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead mechanical engineering efforts for capital improvement, maintenance, expansion and reliability projects.
• Develop project scopes, design criteria and technical solutions with clients and teams.
• Prepare calculations, specs, datasheets and design deliverables.
• Develop specifications for pumps, vessels, tanks, exchangers, compressors and more.
• Prepare construction packages, scopes of work and bid evaluations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering with process, electrical, structural and piping teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and support project estimating and business development.
