Job summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a Divisional Manufacturing Automation Engineer to join our North America Materials Group as a Senior-Level Specialist. This remote-based role will lead automation strategy across a vast manufacturing network, including major sites in Ohio, Indiana, and Georgia, and finishing centers nationwide.

You will drive a five-year automation roadmap, set project scopes for AGVs and cobots, and mentor cross-functional teams. Travel up to 25% may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in controls/automation with capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a five-year strategic automation roadmap.
• Define the technical scope for MG-NA automation projects, including AGVs and cobots.
• Lead complex engineering projects from inception to completion within budget and schedule.
• Mentor site-level technical teams on automation solutions.
• Benchmark and transfer best-in-class Avery Dennison automation globally.
