Job summary

Avery Dennison is seeking an Engineering and Maintenance Manager to lead controls engineering, project engineering, and maintenance across Concord and Painesville, OH facilities. You will drive efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement while aligning engineering initiatives with plant goals and business strategy.

You will mentor cross-functional teams, oversee capital projects, and manage asset performance to minimize downtime and reduce operating costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Controls, Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in project engineering, plant maintenance, or an engineering leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including automation control, PLCs, drives, sensors, and facilities systems.
• Proven leadership in managing multiple priorities, project portfolios, and cross-functional teams.
• Exposure to Lean/Six Sigma methodologies (Green/Black Belt) and TPM experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead controls engineering, project engineering, and maintenance teams to drive process improvements and asset reliability.
• Guide safety culture and actively contribute through training, project management, and EHS responsibilities.
• Collaborate with site leadership to align engineering initiatives with business goals.
• Oversee project delivery, cost center management, and capital project execution to achieve safety, quality, and cost targets.
• Manage work orders, spare parts inventory, contractor relationships, and hands-on asset support.
