Job summary

Rocket Software in the United States (Remote) is seeking a Senior Customer Solutions Engineer to lead mainframe modernization initiatives and provide expert technical support for customer projects.

You will work with Delivery Architects and project teams to design solutions, deliver pilots, and present technical training while ensuring success across complex IT transformations.

Strong communication skills and hands-on experience with IBM mainframe stacks are required.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant technical experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Fluent in written and verbal English.
• Experience in complex IT project implementations or maintenance.
• Analytical mindset for test results and defect resolution.
• Organized and methodical with multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to customers (75%).
• Leads design for specific deliverables and assists in the deployment Rocket products.
• Contribute to implement new solutions under the direction of Delivery Architects.
• Create proof of concept / proof of value technology analysis and pilots.
• Conduct external and internal technical presentations/trainings to peer groups.
• Uses and contributes to technical forums within the Rocket AMC environment and local professional communities and technical user groups.
• Applies own subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common technical issues.
• Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action.
• Participates as part of a team and maintains good relationships with team members and customers.
