Job summary

Ensono is seeking a seasoned mainframe developer to design, build, and maintain applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, IMS DB/DC, MQ and VSAM. You will troubleshoot complex issues, tune performance, and produce technical documentation for cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes SDLC rigor, collaboration across waterfall and agile projects, and strong communication skills. A Bachelor's or Master's in a related field is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in mainframe application development, support and maintenance.
• Proficiency in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS DC/DB, MQ and VSAM.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies and experience with version control tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, IMS DB/DC, DB2, MQ and VSAM.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution for complex applications and integrations.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of mainframe applications and queries.
• Develop technical documentation for business and support teams.
• Coordinate with teams using both waterfall and agile methodologies.
