Job summary

Tech Mirrors is seeking a Senior Mainframe COBOL Developer with Insurance Functions to join our project team. This remote role requires 12+ years of hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, SQL, VSAM, z/OS, and TSO/ISPF, supporting batch and online mainframe applications.

Ideal candidates will have strong production support, debugging, and performance tuning skills, experience with Endevor/Changeman, and scheduling tools like Control-M or CA7, plus ability to collaborate with insurance

Qualifications

• 12+ years of hands-on COBOL mainframe development and support.
• Strong knowledge of JCL, CICS, DB2, SQL, VSAM, z/OS and TSO/ISPF.
• Experience with batch and online mainframe applications; production support and performance tuning.
• Experience with Endevor or Changeman and scheduling tools like Control-M or CA7.
• Experience integrating mainframe with insurance systems and communicating with insurance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and support mainframe COBOL applications for insurance domain.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis and optimize performance.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, analysts and technical teams.
