Job summary

OTOT Technologies is seeking a hands-on senior COBOL developer in Arlington, Virginia. This role involves supporting critical IRS tax processing systems, focusing on full lifecycle support for legacy COBOL applications, including analysis, design, and production support.

The candidate will be responsible for implementing enhancements, legislative updates, and troubleshooting issues in a complex mainframe environment. Strong COBOL and mainframe development experience is essential.

The position allows for primarily remote work with onsite reporting required at least once a month.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of COBOL, CICS, and DB2 experience.
Experience supporting large IBM mainframe environments.
Knowledge of JCL, Endevor, File Manager, IBM Debugger, Jira, and IBM ELM.

Responsibilities

Lead analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of COBOL/CICS/DB2 applications.
Perform production support, defect resolution, Filing Season updates, legislative changes, and O&M activities.
Support FIT testing, code remediation, implementation activities, and post-production support.
