Job summary

CTG is seeking a Mainframe Application Developer with COBOL/PL/I expertise to design, code, test, and maintain mainframe systems. The role emphasizes IMS DB/DC, DB2, VSAM, and CICS development in a remote setup.

Responsibilities include batch processing with JCL, production job monitoring with CA Jobtrac, and Endevor-based source control. Strong z/OS/MVS/JES/ISPF/SDSF skills required, plus debugging with File-AID/Abend-AID/Xpediter.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional mainframe application development experience preferred.
• Extensive hands-on experience developing and supporting COBOL and/or PL/I applications in enterprise mainframe environments.
• Experience supporting production applications, troubleshooting complex issues, and participating in on-call or production support processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, PL/I, and CA Easytrieve.
• Develop and support applications utilizing IMS DB/DC, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
• Develop and maintain JCL for complex batch-processing environments.
