Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a Sr. Litigation Specialist for a remote role across the United States. You will own complex litigated auto and homeowners claims and guide defense counsel to fair, timely resolutions.

The role requires coordinating with counsel, managing budgets for outside counsel, and presenting recommendations to management. A bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, or risk management and experience handling insurance claims are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, insurance or risk management, or related field.
• High School diploma required.
• Proven experience handling insurance claims.
• Prior senior casualty experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes analysis of claims and develops discovery plans for first- and third-party auto and homeowners litigations.
• Directs defense counsel, set settlement authority, and monitor outcomes to balance costs and indemnity.
• Reviews liability, damages, coverage, and risk to assess independent settlements.
• Collaborates with defense counsel to shape strategy for negotiations and mediations.
• Authorizes and monitors budgets for outside counsel and analyzes defense expenses.
• Prepares and presents litigated case recommendations to local and executive management.
• Secures authority up to the highest levels for resolution.
