Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group, a leading AAA insurer, is hiring a Sr. Litigation Specialist in a remote role across the United States (excluding Hawaii and Alaska).

You will own complex litigated auto and homeowners claims, direct defense counsel, evaluate settlements, and manage indemnity exposure to achieve fair and timely resolutions. You will shape claim strategy, coordinate with internal teams, and lead negotiations while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance or risk management, or related field.
• High School diploma required.
• A proven experience handling insurance claims.
• Prior Senior Casualty experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes analysis of claims, develops discovery plans, and coordinates incident investigations for first- and third-party auto/home claims.
• Directs defense counsel with authority to settle or proceed to trial while balancing defense costs and indemnity.
• Reviews liability, damages, coverage and risk to determine independent settlements.
• Collaborates with defense counsel to shape settlement strategy and participates in mediations and settlement conferences.
• Authorizes and monitors budgets for outside counsel and analyzes defense expenses using bill review tools.
• Prepares and presents litigated case recommendations to local and executive management at IELT level.
• Secures authority for resolution up to the highest levels.
