Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Linux Systems Engineer to join a technology-driven organization focused on infrastructure modernization and cloud enablement.

You will manage data center operations, support enterprise infrastructure, and develop tooling for provisioning into AWS, with remote work options in the United States. The role requires 7+ years of experience, deep Linux and VMware expertise, NetApp storage know-how, and strong automation skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Systems Administration/Engineering experience.
• Strong Linux expertise (Ubuntu preferred; Red Hat OK).
• Experience with VMware virtualization and NetApp storage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise data center infrastructure (physical & virtual).
• Develop tooling to bootstrap and provision AWS infrastructure.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux production systems.
• Deploy and maintain VMware virtualization platforms and NetApp storage.
• Build and support bare metal server infrastructure in data centers.
• Collaborate with infra and cloud teams to improve automation, scalability, reliability.
