Overview

Piper Companies is searching for a Data Center Engineer to work for a leader in the technology space and reside in Reston, Virginia. The Data Center Engineer will have a strong foundation in Linux, networking, and virtualization technologies to support mission-critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems in enterprise and mission environments.
• Support and maintain virtualization platforms, networking configurations, and storage solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, scalability, and security.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to hold an active TS/SCI with FSP clearance.
• Strong experience with Linux system administration.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM) and storage systems.

Compensation

• Total compensation is $180,000 - $190,000 annually
• Comprehensive benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, holidays, sick leave as required by law

Onsite 5 days a week in Reston, VA.
