Jack Henry & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Level III Linux/DevOps engineer to automate provisioning, configuration, deployment, patching, monitoring, and operational workflows. You will partner with application, security, infrastructure, and development teams to drive scalable, secure systems.

The role emphasizes leading complex infrastructure initiatives, troubleshooting production issues, and establishing DevOps standards, with remote work within a defined regional radius.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting software applications.
• Experience with C# development, SQL database administration, code debugging and troubleshooting, source control/code management practices, and research and development activities focused on enhancing software solutions.
• Experience automating Linux patching and operating-system lifecycle management.
• Experience implementing Linux security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance controls.
• Familiarity with artifact repositories and package-management solutions.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and integrating infrastructure platforms through APIs.
• Experience working within an Agile or DevOps engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in all phases of the software development life cycle, including research, prototyping, detailed design, development, technical documentation, and defect fixing.
• Contributes to the technical design and implementation of system deployment automation and configuration management tools.
• Develops software in appropriate scripting languages using agile design-build-test methodologies.
• Configures and maintains container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes to deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications effectively.
• Constructs, improves, and maintains the automated deployment pipelines.
• Collaborates closely with development, operations, and security teams to foster a culture of collaboration, communication, and knowledge sharing, driving continuous improvement across the organization.
• Adheres to organizational standards, policies, and procedures related to software development, security, and compliance.
• Manages database service levels and performance.
• May perform other job duties as assigned.
