Jack Henry & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a remote team supporting our data protection and VMware infrastructure. You will contribute to design, implementation, and operational excellence across production environments.

The role emphasizes automation via scripting, infrastructure-as-code, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Remote work is allowed within a 70-mile radius of listed office locations and onsite onboarding may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of data protection and disaster recovery experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with hypervisor.
• Experience using PowerShell, Python, or other scripting tools to automate work.

Responsibilities

• Develops and designs complex system architectures that meet business requirements and performance objectives.
• Performs IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs in support of one or more functional areas.
• Executes test processes and scenarios, tracks results, and makes recommendations of system fixes.
• Implements security best practices and measures to protect systems from internal and external threats.
• Performs troubleshooting and remediation, ensures successful project implementation, and performs post project end user support.
• Manages and documents system configurations and oversees all transitions into production.
• Coordinates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
• Ensures compliance with industry standards, regulations, and organizational policies related to data security and privacy.
