Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Senior Lead Technical Program Manager to join the Network Architecture and Engineering organization. You will translate complex technical challenges into executable programs, align strategy with execution, and drive measurable outcomes across Lumen’s network environment.

In this highly visible role, you will mentor PMs, manage cross-domain dependencies, and champion scalable AI-enabled workflows to improve governance and engineering productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of progressive program management in technical domains.
• Broad understanding of telecommunications networks and lifecycle.
• Translating ambiguous objectives into executable plans and governance.
• Leading interdependent initiatives with cross-functional risks and priorities.
• Ability to work credibly across technical and business teams.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, influence, and executive support.
• Experience using Jira for milestones, risks, and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact network programs from strategy through handoff.
• Create integrated execution frameworks when scope is undefined.
• Orchestrate multiple programs with enterprise dependencies and risks.
• Establish governance, decision rights, and executive review processes.
• Drive cross-domain sequencing across architecture, design, build, and ops.
• Identify portfolio-level constraints and dependencies.
• Anticipate risks and prevent delivery failures.
• Mentor project managers and raise delivery standards.
• Champion AI-enabled and automated workflows for governance and productivity.
