Job summary

Blattner Company is seeking a Lead Engineer for the Major Projects Group to drive early‑stage engineering and site development for utility‑scale energy infrastructure including renewables, gas generation, BESS, and data center power systems. You will develop conceptual engineering solutions, BOMs, and technical recommendations to support competitive project development and permitting efforts.

You will coordinate with Owners, EORs, permitting agencies, utilities, and environmental consultants,

Qualifications

Six or more years of progressive engineering and project development experience.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering efforts across project development, permitting, or project execution.
Experience working with Owners, permitting agencies, and engineering partners to drive constructability and risk evaluation.

Responsibilities

Lead early‑stage engineering and site development for utility‑scale projects across renewables, gas, BESS, and data center power infrastructure.
Develop conceptual engineering solutions, BOMs, and technical recommendations to support project development and competitiveness.
Lead permitting efforts by coordinating applications, agency communications, and approvals with AHJs at federal, state, and local levels.
Mentor technical staff and provide guidance during contract development, reviews, and project planning.
