Job summary

Blattner is seeking a Lead Engineer for the Major Projects Group in the United States. You will helm early‑stage engineering and site development for utility‑scale renewable energy, gas generation, BESS, and data center power infrastructure projects.

You will develop conceptual solutions, BOMs, and technical recommendations to support competitive project development. You will lead permitting efforts with federal, state, and local agencies, review third‑party studies, and coordinate with Owners,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, civil, chemical engineering or related field from ABET‑accredited college.
• EIT or FE certification preferred.
• Six+ years of progressive engineering, leadership, construction, or project development experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead early‑stage engineering and site development for utility‑scale renewables, gas generation, BESS, and data center power infrastructure projects.
• Develop conceptual engineering solutions, BOMs, and technical recommendations for project development.
• Lead permitting efforts with federal, state and local authorities and coordinate agency communications.
• Build relationships with Owners, EORs, permitting agencies, utilities, environmental consultants, and partners.
• Review owner specifications and third‑party studies to identify risks and constructability improvements.
• Coordinate deliverables across engineering disciplines, consultants, and equipment suppliers to maintain schedules.
