Job summary

Oregon Health & Science University is seeking a Sr. Labor Productivity and Workforce Optimization Advisor to lead labor productivity standards, premium pay governance, and payroll-based savings tracking across inpatient nursing and support services.

This role reports to the Senior Director, Workforce Planning & Labor Productivity and collaborates with nursing leadership and HR. Responsibilities include developing benchmarks, building dashboards, and presenting actionable insights to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in specified fields with healthcare labor productivity experience.
• Experience with payroll data, hours worked, volumes, and productivity metrics.
• Experience with external labor benchmarking and staffing targets.
• Experience with scheduling/workforce systems (e.g., Axiom, Cognos, Oracle, Epic).

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine unit/department labor productivity standards.
• Benchmark staffing against external/internal targets and identify improvement opportunities.
• Analyze staffing grids and scheduling to identify overstaffing and optimal core staffing.
• Produce forecast-informed staffing plans and intra-day redeployment analyses.
• Build bi-weekly productivity scorecards and reports for leadership.
• Lead monthly operating reviews with nursing and support leaders.
