Job summary

Husch Blackwell seeks a Senior IP Docket Specialist to manage docketing for patent, trademark, and copyright matters within the firm’s Centralized IP Docket Team. You will work remotely or in locations, ensuring deadlines are correctly captured and reported.

The role requires a strong IP docketing background, 10+ years of experience, and proficiency with PattsyWave, Foundation IP, or CPi, plus MS Office and NetDocs. Excellent attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree or Paralegal Certificate required; 4-year degree preferred in related field.
• 10+ years IP docketing experience with proficiency using IP docketing software such as PattsyWave, Foundation IP, or CPi.
• Advanced knowledge of US and foreign patent and trademark prosecution procedures; IP workflows.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure accurate entry and date calculation for docket entries.
• Review USPTO and foreign filings and verify accuracy via agency websites.
• Create, review, schedule and distribute accurate advanced docket reports for patent and trademark cases.
• Open new matters and input records into IP Docketing system, PattsyWave, for foreign and domestic cases.
• Stay current with USPTO, PCT, Madrid Protocol and Foreign IP rules and practices.
