Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Senior IP Docket Specialist to oversee docket entries, deadlines, and reporting for patent and trademark matters. The role includes training, reviewing filings, and ensuring timely, accurate docketing in PattsyWave, with possibilities for remote or location-based work across the firm's offices.

The ideal candidate will have extensive IP docketing experience, deep knowledge of US/foreign filing processes, and proficiency in MS Office, NetDocs, and docketing

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or Paralegal Certificate required; 4-year degree preferred.
• 10+ years IP docketing experience with PattsyWave, Foundation IP, or CPi.
• Advanced knowledge of US and foreign patent and trademark procedures.
• Proficiency with Maintenance Fee‑Annex/renewal processes.
• Proficient in MS Office, Adobe, NetDocs; able to handle large spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accurate entry and date calculation for docket entries.
• Assist Senior IP Docketing Manager with training team members.
• Review filings to ensure deadlines are identified and docketed.
• Verify accuracy of docketed items and resolve discrepancies.
• Create and distribute advanced docket reports for patent/trademark matters.
• Open new matters in IP docketing system (PattsyWave) for foreign and domestic cases.
• Input dates from correspondence into the docketing system.
• Stay current with USPTO, PCT, Madrid Protocol, and Foreign IP rules.
