Job summary

Life360 seeks a business-oriented intellectual property attorney with 5+ years of IP portfolio management and transactional experience to join our expanding Legal team. You will be the in-house counsel overseeing patent and trademark portfolios, directing outside counsel, and advising on open source, licensing, and IP-led M&A review.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Product, Privacy, Engineering, and Marketing, reporting to the Deputy General Counsel for Commercial,

Qualifications

• J.D. with bar admission in at least one US state.
• Minimum 5 years of patent prosecution and IP counseling experience.
• Experience negotiating complex IP-related agreements.

Responsibilities

• Manage Life360's patent and trademark portfolios with outside counsel.
• Draft, review, and negotiate IP-related licenses, assignments, and collaboration agreements.
• Provide guidance on open source usage and compliance in transactional matters.
• Support IP due diligence for corporate transactions and IP risks.
