Job summary

Life360 is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel, Product & Privacy, Ads, to counsel on privacy, consumer protection, and content regulation for our ad-tech platform. You will partner with product, engineering, and marketing teams across Life360 to guide product development while aligning with regulatory requirements.

You will report to the Deputy General Counsel for Product & Privacy and collaborate with Marketing, Communications and Infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal experience in product counseling and privacy counseling in the ad-tech space.
• J.D. from an accredited law school; membership in at least one state bar.
• CIPP/US certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise ads engineering and product teams on legal and regulatory issues throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Provide counsel on privacy and data protection matters related to ad tech, ensuring compliance with regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA.
• Advise on content regulation matters - including ads content policies and enforcement - to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Advise on marketing matters related to the B2B ads business.
• Monitor and provide guidance on evolving international privacy, consumer protection, and technology regulations in the ad-tech space, helping Life360 stay ahead of regulatory trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management strategies.
