Job summary

Wesco seeks a Senior Application Engineer to join the Grid Services team. You will support and create technical sales proposals for high voltage substation projects, products, systems, and services.

You will serve as the engineering point person for the RFQ process, through product site install and commissioning. You will provide pre-sales engineering, product selection, compatibility confirmation, and specification reviews while liaising with customers, Wesco, and vendors to ensure successful

Qualifications

• Bachelors' degree in engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 5–7 years of networking and infrastructure sales experience in medium/large companies.
• 5–7 years of technical experience using networking and infrastructure products.
• Experience leading or directing teams.
• Expertise in infrastructure, industrial cabling, or power systems products.
• Attain and maintain vendor certifications for specialized products.

Responsibilities

• Serve as engineering point person for RFQ process through site install and commissioning.
• Provide pre-sales engineering, product selection, compatibility review, and specs review.
• Provide post-sales support with customers and manufacturers to ensure installation and commissioning.
• Act as technical liaison between customer, Wesco, and vendors in design and start-up.
• Provide proofs of concept to solve customers' engineering needs.
• Make joint and solo calls to customers and manufacturers.
• Assist account representatives in identifying new sales opportunities.
• Deliver technically strong, cost-competitive proposals with clear value for the customer.
